Michael Malatin, Founder of Pinnacle Automotive Hospitality

Michael D. Malatin is the Founder of Pinnacle Automotive Hospitality Services, Inc., a leader in dealership porter services.

Mr. Malatin founded Pinnacle Automotive to innovate and raise the bar on what auto dealerships should demand from their porter service provider.

As the founder and former CEO of Healthcare Parking Systems of America, Inc. Mr. Malatin developed the nation’s largest parking management company dedicated strictly to hospitals and health centers. His idea was simple: provide a crisp image that hospitals would want at their front door, boast to them his undying dedication to only their industry, and promise legendary service that would have patients feel as though they were at a five star hotel.

Mr. Malatin’s vision single-handedly transformed the hospital parking landscape from an unsophisticated platform focused solely on the cars parked, to a highly important touch point to enhance patient satisfaction. In 2007, Mr. Malatin sold the company to ABM Industries (NYSE: ABM). He had taken HPSA to 280 hospitals in 33 states with over 5,000 employees coast to coast and revenues in excess of $48M. Mr. Malatin remained President of HPSA, a subsidiary of Ampco System Parking, until his departure in 2011.

Pinnacle is Born

Based on his passion for service excellence and recognizing that a similar need existed outside of healthcare, Mr. Malatin decided to take on the challenge once again, this time to impact a new industry: Dealership Porter Services. Today his mission is to elevate the existing service standards of the automotive dealership industry to an entirely new level and Pinnacle Automotive Hospitality was developed to do just that. Mr. Malatin carefully crafted a team of hospitality and service experts, while tapping the resources of the Ritz Carlton Leadership Center to develop a completely unparalleled services offering never before seen in the dealer services market. Pinnacle Automotive Hospitality is changing the landscape of automotive porter service delivery to clients nationwide. In February 2017, Mr. Malatin was named Founder and Chief Strategist and continues to influence the organization in his new roles.
